with burial to follow in Old Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Evan
Smith and Rev. Cullen W. Clements will officiate. The family will receive friends
Friday, May 29, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Kornegay Funeral Home Lugoff
Elgin Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church Building Fund,
14605 Hwy 34, Ridgeway, SC 29130. Mr. Clements died Monday, May 25, 2009.
Born in Dublin, Georgia, he was the son of Lathy Foskey Clements and the
late John R. Clements Sr. Mr. Clements was employed with Cogsdill Tools &
Siemans Continental. He was a graduate of Lugoff Elgin High, Class of 79. Mr.
Clements was a member and Deacon of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church and was
an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth “Susie” A. Humphries Clements; son,
Christopher R. Clements of Ridgeway; sisters, Deanna Long and R.W. of
Fayetteville, TN and Cathy C. Large of Lugoff; brothers, Danny Clements of
Lugoff and Michael A. and Donna Clements of Lugoff; numerous nieces and
nephews.
Kornegay Funeral Home Lugoff Elgin Chapel is in charge.
