Weekly chapel services will start at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Goodwill Job ConnectionSM conference room in the Dublin Mall. The public is welcome to attend these brief chapel/prayer services. The Job Connection is located at 2005 Veteran’s Blvd., Suite 35A

Goodwill was founded in 1902 by a Methodist minister, Dr. Edgar J. Helms, and chapel services are provided weekly at many Goodwill locations with volunteer community clergy conducting the services. Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA currently holds chapel services each week at its Macon, Lake Oconee, Augusta and Aiken campuses.

“Goodwill and its mission have a strong connection to our Christian roots, and offering space for chapel services gives us an opportunity to maintain that connection for employees and the unemployed we are connecting to career opportunities,” said James K. Stiff, President of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia. “We’re honored to offer the use of our Dublin Job Connection space for uplifting weekly services at the Dublin Mall.”

The first service will be led by Job Connection Case Manager Suzette Dance, who recently received a Master’s Degree in Religion. Subsequent chapel services will be led by volunteering ministers from the Dublin community with the coordination from Goodwill’s Director of Volunteer Services.
