Changing the Methodology, Not the Message.
Free Workshop Offers Assistance for Improving Outreach Effectiveness.
Dr. Dwayne Boudreaux, Director of Missions at Augusta Association of Baptist Churches, agrees that outreach must keep pace with the times. “I firmly believe that the message of the gospel should never change but the methodology needs to change. We are experts at doing events but we do poorly with the follow-up and the follow-up to the follow-up. I see what CallingPost has to offer as a tremendous, tremendous discipling tool,” Boudreaux emphasized.“In the past, our church was doing outreach by randomly casting our fishing poles in the middle of the lake from a simple john boat. Today, with the assistance of CallingPost, we can now do our fishing from a professional bass speed boat equipped with a high capacity fish finder.” Pastor Baxter Stanley, Senior Pastor at Augusta First Assembly of God, continued by stating, “CallingPost is like outreach on steroids!”
Church leaders are invited to join together to exchange ideas and discuss implementing effective outreach strategies. Discussions will include an outreach emphasis and how to make the church’s follow-up strategies more important than the outreach event itself. In other words, the fish that are caught are more important than the mere act of fishing.
This free Reach and Engage Workshop will reveal how implementing integrated communication and outreach solutions, provided by Move the Mountain Ministry, helps mobilize church bodies in order to see God’s commandment fulfilled and His kingdom advanced. Leaders will learn how to better engage by “turning groups into teams, intentions into reality.” The natural result is growth of the church.
Participation is open to all staff or volunteers who are involved in any area of church ministry. The half day workshop begins at 8:30 am and includes breakfast, lunch, handouts, fellowship and more. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
