Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

I Heard the Robin Sing!

by Optimistic Oriole!

When I was the innocent one,

One morning in early spring;

No thought of true reason,

I heard the Robin sing;

He sang his sweet song of life,

Of hope, faith, and charity;

He sang of his everlasting wish,

For a World in perfect harmony;

He sang his precious song,

For conflict to never start;

Then came the makers of hate,

And tore all his dreams apart;

Like a forgotten soul,

Forlorn in a castle keep;

In the darkness of night,

I heard the Robin weep;

We did not get there with you,

But, you paved the way with care;

One day we will cross that Mountain,

And find you abiding there;

Reading between the lines!

Arrows of Deception!

By: Opining Owl

They shot their arrows,

into the air;

Where they fell,

they did not care;

No one raised to,

question this flight;

Which soon became,

the Archers delight;

When the arrows fell,

upon the unconcerned crowd;

The Archers rejoiced,

and sang out loud;

To the people,

came the real fact;

When the arrows slammed,

into their back;

The past is gone,

the future will lie;

Where the people low,

and the Archers high;

Hey! Duped

With you questioning

all that's new

Hey! Duped

Always contemplating

What to do

And your afraid of being screwed

Can't you see

That we are there for you,

....So follow we

Chorus!

Come on, Duped

Follow we

We're the Paid Pipers

Can't you see

We're the Paid Pipers

And we'll show that you can be had

Come on, Duped

Can't you see

we're the Paid Pipers

Trust in we

We're the Paid Pipers

And we'll show that you can be had

Hey! Duped

Don't you make a wrong move

Hey! Duped

What are you trying to prove

Because it just ain't true

That we are manipulating you

It's all in your mind

So to save us some time

....You'd better get in line

Chorus!

Come on, Duped

Follow we

We're the Paid Pipers

Can't you see

We're the Paid Pipers

And we'll show that you can be had

Come on, Duped

Can't you see

we're the Paid Pipers

Trust in we

We're the Paid Pipers

And we'll show that you can be had

Hey! Duped

We will give

you a big lift

Hey! Duped

while we throw

You from the cliff

Yours, is not to reason why

But yours, is to do and die

....So that we can fly

Chorus!

Come on, Duped

Follow we

We're the Paid Pipers

Can't you see

We're the Paid Pipers

And we'll show that you can be had

Come on, Duped

Can't you see

We're the Paid Pipers

Trust in we

We're the Paid Pipers

And we'll show that you can be had
